Mathias’s finger twitched.

Tick, tick, tick.

And his knee started bobbing.

OH MY GOD WOULD THAT STUPID TICKING NEVER END?!?!

When Mathias agreed to go with you to the testing center for emotional support, he knew you’d be anxious while you waited to go in. What he hadn’t known was that he’d be super mega anxious waiting for you to finish your exam; and you had a time window of four hours. How Would He Survive?!

But while he would whine and mope and pout at you later for the anxiety he was feeling, he would at the same time totally admit that it was worth it to help you feel better. Cause he loved you and this wasn’t the worst thing he’d be willing to do for you.

It did suck pretty bad though.

When he saw you come out of the testing room, Mathias shot to his feet, shuffling back and forth on them as he watched you go get your results and then walk over to him. He only managed to stay quiet long enough to leave the area and head to the elevators before turning to you swiftly.

“Well??”

You looked at him a little blankly and his heart sank. Did you not pass..?

Then suddenly you broke into a heart-stopping smile that lit up your whole face as you held up your test results.

“I passed!” you exclaimed in a hushed tone, knowing to stay quiet while still in the building.

Mathias went slack jawed before laughing almost breathlessly as he grabbed you in a hug and spun you around and around and around.

Not wanting to disturb anybody and get the two of you in trouble, Mathias swooped you up into his arms and ran out of the building with you. No sooner had the two of you stepped outside than Mathias was shouting and jumping and spinning you around again.

“You passed! You passed! You passed! You passed!” he chanted, earning some odd looks from people passing by. You just giggled and held onto him for dear life.

After a few minutes Mathias finally set you on your feet and kissed you firmly, your face in his hands. More giggles escaped you as you held onto his wrists and returned the kiss happily, smiling wide when he pulled back just a little to say quietly and with a grin, “You passed.”

You giggled and nodded, “I know, I can’t believe it.”

Mathias laughed and ran his nose over yours. “I can. I told you you’d blow that test outta the water.”

“Yeah, well…,” you said a little shyly, ducking your head with a silly smile and earning you a happy chuckle from your boyfriend.

“Let’s go celebrate, yeah?” he said, scooping you up again to carry you to the car. “Whatever you want, we’ll do.”

“I’ll have to call my parents at some point and let them know but for now…I just wanna be with you,” you told him as he set you in the passenger seat of his car. You honestly couldn’t think of anything better than relaxing and lazying about with Mathias.

He blinked at you before giving you the biggest, goofiest grin ever. It always made him really happy whenever you wanted to spend time with just him; especially in cases like this when you were sharing an important part of your life with him.

“Really?”

You laughed a little and leaned up to peck his lips. “Really really.”

Your boyfriend let out a stupid giggle and kissed you again before shutting your door and dashing around to get in the driver’s seat, starting the car and taking your hand as soon as he was able.

“So what should we do then? I know you said you wanna spend time with me but is there something you’d like to do?”

“Well…I was thinking maybe you could help me get rid of the last of my stress…”

“…”

“If you know what I mean.”

“Hot damn.”

What a way to celebrate.
