"God, is it really so hard to find a decent coffee shop?" you muttered to yourself, as you walked along the streets of your town. Hunching your shoulders into the autumn wind, you gave up on finding any sort of coffee and started heading back home.
All you wanted was something warm to drink; but apparently that was a little too much to ask for. And of course, you'd run out of your favorite teas at home, and the grocery stores were out of them. Typical.
Sighing at the cruelty that was the world, you unlocked your front door and entered your humble apartment. You went into your room and hurriedly changed into the baggiest sweater you owned. After pulling on some long socks, you went into the kitchen to see if there was any food you could heat up. You grabbed a container of macaroni and cheese and put it in the microwave.
You crossed your arms and leaned against the counter while you waited for your food to heat up. With a tired sigh, you closed your eyes and let yourself drift off for a moment.
"My goodness, what is that delightful smell?"
With a shriek you jolted backwards, flailing your arms, and fell to the ground.
"Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to startle you! Let me help you up." Before you could respond, you felt two hands grabbed you under your arms and hoist you back onto your feet. Once you righted yourself, you slowly turned to see this mysterious person.
"Oh my god," you whispered.
"Something wrong, dear?"
"Oh no. It's just that the female version of England is standing in my kitchen."
"I beg your pardon?" You grabbed Alice's wrist and dragged her to your room. Once inside, you turned on your laptop and waited for it to boot up. It seemed to take an eternity for the login screen to show up.
An awkward silence fell when you pulled up pictures of Hetalia and Nyotalia. You just kind of scrunched into your seat and hoped Alice wouldn't go berserk. You honestly had no idea if she was into dark magic like regular England was, but you didn't want to risk it.
Alice turned to look at you and you flinched. Her face was completely blank and it was kind of terrifying.
"So…you mean to tell me that I am part of some cartoon in your world, and not even the original. I am part of a gender-bent world?"
"U-um, technically it's an anime, but yeah."
"And you can't send me home?"
"I wouldn't know how."
"Then what am I to do? I have no place to go."
"I…guess you could stay here?" Alice raised an eyebrow at your hesitant offer.
"You don't sound too eager for me to accept."
"Well I don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything…" Alice continued to stare at you, a finger tapping her chin as she thought. You didn't like how intense she looked when she did that; it made you feel like a child that got caught doing something wrong.
"Alright. I'll accept your offer. I'm extremely grateful."
"Y-you don't have to be so formal about it," you muttered.
"May I know your name?"
"(Name). (Full Name). It's nice to meet you," you said, sitting up a little straighter and holding out your hand.
"Alice. Alice Kirkland. It's a pleasure," she returned, shaking your hand.

"ALICE!!!" you yelled as you threw yourself at her from behind. You laughed and trapped her in a hug as the two of you stumbled.
"Bloody hell!" she shouted as the two of you fell to the ground. Another laugh escaped you as you rolled off of her, pleased that you managed to make her lose her cool like that. Very rarely did she swear or shout, so you'd made it your solemn duty to get her to do so as often as possible. That's what best friends were for after all.
"(Name)! What did you do that for?!"
"To surprise you. Duh."
"Nearly give me a heart attack more like."
"There's a difference?" Alice scowled at you and stood up, glaring down at your laughing form. You grinned innocently up at her before standing up as well.
"Oh come on, Alice. I'm just having some fun."
"You sound just like that idiot America."
"Now she's someone I could get along with."
"Like I'd need two morons running around." Dramatically, you clutched your chest right over your heart and staggered against the wall.
"Oh you've cut me right to the quick, you have. I fear I shall never recover." Alice smirked and shoved your shoulder, making you stumble and almost lose your footing. You grinned again and slung an arm around her shoulders and led her into the kitchen.
"So what do you want for dinner today?"
"Whatever you want?"
"You say that every night!" you whined, letting her go to rummage through the freezer. Alice hummed in response and opened your food cupboard.
"How about clam chowder and grilled cheese then."
"Perfect!" Excited to eat now, you sped around the kitchen, getting what you needed. Surprisingly, Alice was a much better cook than her male counterpart, but you always insisted on cooking yourself because you didn't want to be outdone.
As you went about your tasks, Alice watched you thoughtfully. It had been quite a while since she'd arrived in your world, and even now she was still surprised how easily you accepted her into your life. The transition was barely noticeable. It had felt like she'd belonged here all along. And she had no real way to thank you. She was uncomfortable expressing herself in such a way and didn't want to accidentally offend you. But better to try and get her feelings across; as opposed to not thanking you and possibly offending you that way.
"Um…(Name)?" You stopped buttering the bread and turned to Alice.
"Yeah? What's up?" Alice opened her mouth to say something but quickly shut it again and that caught your attention. She seemed unsure of something and you were a little worried now.
"I-I just…wanted to thank you…for…being such a good friend to me and, letting me stay here, with you." You stared at her for a long moment before a huge smile appeared on your face. You dropped what you were doing and ran over to give her a hug, really happy that she'd opened up like that. Alice hesitantly hugged you back, obviously not used to willingly being involved in such contact.
"You don't have to thank me, Alice. It was no problem. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have found one of my best friends. So thank you for putting up with me and letting me be your friend."
"Guess we both lucked out, huh."
"Yeah. I really think we did."

Country X Reader: A Little Misfit (Canada)
Half way down the hall you heard footsteps behind you. You turn around to see.....
..Canada.....
That was funny. What did the quiet, little Canadian want?
You really hoped he wasn't here to pick on you too......
You gazed into his beautiful blue eyes and said as calmly as you could(you were still getting over the incident in the classroom) "Can I help you Canada?"
He smiled shyly and said "No, I just wanted to check on you."
You thought for sure that he was just misleading you in order to break you down like every one always did.
You just glared coldly at him and said "I'm not an idiot, you know! If you're just trying to break me

England and His Faery Friends: EnglandXReader
You sighed and stared up at the stars. Arthur was lying right next to you. The two of you had tried camping out, but his tent had a huge hole in it from the last time America had borrowed it. So the two of you had to make do without a tent after all. You shivered. You curled up on yourself. To have such a wonderful day and to have it end on a sour note was terrible.
